Presentation of the Virgin Mary

The Monastery of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary is situated in Senjak, an urban settlement in the Belgrade district of Savski venac. It was built in 1937. Legend has it that the monastery’s founder, Persida Milenković, had three dreams, telling her that she should build a monastery in that precise spot. Confessor Dositej Vasić is buried in the churchyard. The monastery is a cultural landmark, as an immovable cultural property.
