Description
The Monument to World War II Fallen Soldiers, the work of architect Bogdan Bogdanović, is situated on Mt. Kosmaj. With its outspread rays, it has become a symbol of Mt. Kosmaj and the Šumadija region. The memorial complex is entirely made of concrete. Surrounded by columns, a circle pedestal on the ground symbolizes the eternal flame. The monument was installed in 1971 to commemorate the casualties and resistance of the Kosmaj Partisan Regiment comprised of soldiers from the regions of Kosmaj and Posavina.
