    Description

Borislav Pekić (1930–1992) was a Podgorica-born Yugoslav and Serbian author, novelist, playwright, screenplay writer and one of the founders of the post-communist Serbian Democratic Party. Pekić is one of the most influential authors of contemporary Serbian literature. His greatest work, The Golden Fleece, was written in London, where Pekić was in exile from 1971. The bronze monument is located in Cvetni trg, across the street from the Yugoslav Drama Theater, in the neighborhood that the author especially liked. It was installed in 2016.
