Description
The remains of several thousand Serbian and Austro-Hungarian troops killed in the Battle of Kolubara, the biggest and most important battle in World War I, are buried in the crypt of the Church of St. Dimitrije in Lazarevac. The Memorial Ossuary is a unique example of the humanity of a nation that buried enemy soldiers together with its own, with equal honors.
