Description
Like so many other memorials in Belgrade, this monument was erected to commemorate the Balkan Wars and World War I. Vojvoda Vuk – Vojin Pavlović was one of the best known commanders of the Serbian army in the mentioned wars. The monument was erected in 1936, due to the efforts of Vojvoda Vuk’s comrades-in-arms and their families, who commissioned Djordje Jovanović, the greatest Serbian sculptor of the time, for this task.
